| Ever
since I was young, I have had a keen interest in art, which,
when in school, led me frequently to visit many art galleries
and museums. Later, because of my business, I travelled widely
in various parts of the world, and had the opportunity to visit
many famous galleries and museums, a few of which were Musee
Du Louvre, Galleria Degli Uffizi and the New York Metropolitan
Museum of Art. Obviously, such experiences left a lasting impression
on me, as did at a later date, the viewing of Yuan Chin-Taa's
retrospective at the Japan Fugan Art Museum and Ju Ming's sculpture
" Taichi Single Whip" situated at the Buschlen Mowatt
Gallery in Vancouver, Canada. I was able to appreciate more
fully, and within the international context, the art of my countrymen,
whilst at the same time feeling an immerse pride in their achievements.
Consequently, my experience and interest
in art collecting has led to my desire to establish the Taiwanartist.com
- an on-line art gallery. By means of my dealings and experience
with artists, I have came to know that their prime focus is
on the creation of art, not on the business of displaying
and selling to prospective buyers. The Taiwanartist.com provides
an innovative, less costly way for artists to present their
work for sale to a wide audience.
The Taiwanartist.com differs from the
conventional art gallery in the following ways:
*The gallery
is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It never closes.
*You can view
works of art from the comfort of your own home. No need to
worry about traffic, parking or time limitations. View as
long and as often as you wish.
*You are able
to avoid the high overheads and commissions charged by conventional
galleries.
*Unlimited
space enables us to display the full spectrum of the artists'
work. You are able to get the "whole picture" of
the artist's development.
We at the Taiwanartist.com would like to express our respect
and appreciation to the artists whose dedication and creativity
enrich people's lives. We hope that you will enjoy the artwork
displayed on our on-line gallery, and that you will feel free
to contact us with any of your art-related inquiries.
